Ultra Soft Alpaca is a finer, more delicate grade of alpaca fibre, offering a smoother and silkier feel. It maintains the thermal and moisture-regulating benefits of regular alpaca but with added comfort against the skin. Its ultra-fine texture reduces friction, making it ideal for everyday wear or as lounge socks. Alpaca is also hypoallergenic, so suitable for sensitive skins. Despite its softness, it remains strong and naturally elastic, helping socks retain their shape with minimal irritation. 

Taking inspiration for the perfect red - the iconic British post box. This is a classic, confident red that has become a sock drawer essential.

Care

Machine wash Ultra Soft Alpaca socks at 30°C or cooler using a gentle or wool cycle and a mild detergent suitable for delicate fibres. Avoid hot water as heat can cause shrinking or felting.

Do not tumble dry. Instead, reshape while damp and air dry flat away from direct heat sources such as radiators or sunlight.

Do not bleach, as this can damage the fibres and cause discolouration.

Ironing is rarely needed, but if required, use a cool or low heat setting.

Avoid high temperatures and sudden heat changes to help maintain softness, shape, and durability.

Sourcing

Our Ultra Soft Alpaca wool socks are responsibly sourced and carefully made in Portugal. We’ve worked with this family run mill for five years to produce the highest quality alpaca socks. Our Alpaca wool is sustainably sourced from the Peruvian Highlands.

Free delivery is available at checkout when paying by credit card for orders over £50 GBP in the UK, €120 in the EU and £100 for the rest of the world. All standard UK deliveries are dispatched with via Royal Mail's 48hr tracked service.

Are Pairs socks sustainable?

We work with makers that we know and trust in British, Portuguese and Turkish mills. We source only the highest quality natural fibres that last longer and need replacing less often. We aim to encourage buying less, but better. All our packaging is home recyclable.
