Smooth and silky on the skin, odour-resistant and temperature-regulating, Merino calf-length socks are an everyday staple. Crafted from premium merino wool, our unisex merino socks offer breathable warmth without bulk, making them ideal for year-round wear. Lightweight, naturally moisture-wicking and antibacterial, merino wool helps keep feet dry, fresh and comfortable.

Care

Machine wash merino wool socks at up to 40°C using a gentle cycle and mild detergent. Do not tumble dry, as heat can cause shrinking and damage the wool. Instead, reshape while damp and air dry flat away from direct heat sources such as radiators. Do not bleach, as this can weaken the fibres and cause discolouration. Ironing is usually not necessary, but if needed, use a low heat setting. Avoid high temperatures and sudden heat changes to help prevent shrinking and keep your merino wool socks soft and long-lasting.

Sourcing

Pairs’ Merino wool socks are responsibly sourced and carefully made in Portugal. The Merino wool fibres are selected with a focus on quality and sustainability, supporting farms and mills that prioritise craftsmanship and environmental care. Once sourced, the wool is spun and knitted in a trusted, family‑run Portuguese mill, ensuring consistent quality and comfort.

Beautiful bed socks

I’m absolutely delighted with my wool bed socks - in the past I’ve only worn cashmere but got frustrated by the fact they didn’t stay soft for long despite careful washing. I bought two sets of Pairs in orange and brown. They handwash beautifully, and stay soft and roomy for the perfect night’s sleep - and excellent value. Have ordered two more pairs.
